DIMA SMT SYSTEMS INTRODUCES THEIR LATEST DISPENSING INNOVATION THE “DISPENSE MASTER”.

DIMA SMT Systems is proud to announce the release of their latest dispensing innovation the Dispense Master. With the Dispense Master DIMA SMT Systems created a new standard in dispensing technology. Based on the same software platform as the DIMA Pick & Place systems this desktop dispense robot can be programmed using the live image of the standard integrated camera. No longer will it be necessary to stick your head into a dispensing robot in order to find the right dispense position. With the Dispense Master you can literally turn your back to the machine while programming it!

As most dispensing robots available in the market the Dispense Master can be used for dispensing dots, lines, arcs, circles and spirals. This makes the Dispense Master into a multi-purpose high-performance desktop dispensing system with advanced robotic technologies. The Dispense Master can be used for time/pressure dispens-ing as well as for volumetric dispensing. DIMA offers a range of dispense valves with the Dispense Master for materials ranging in viscosity from water thin to heavy paste. Utilizing a standard integrated camera the Dispense Master can recognise images and fiducials for high accurate dispensing applications. The optional auto-matic vision alignment software can even automatically correct dispensing positions in case a product hasn’t been placed very accurate into the machine. Using the same camera, XY-offset and needle height can easily be corrected after needle ex-change. The Windows® based DIMASoft user interface includes libraries for fidu-cials, dot sizes and line widths making it very easy to program any application. You can even store your specific dispense library for each dispense configuration con-taining the specific dispense material, needle and dispense valve.
This feature utilises the opportunity to create a history of used configurations that will make it easy for future applications to be programmed.

Besides typical applications like dispensing gaskets, potting, coating, sealing, glob top, dam and fill and adhesive bonding the Dispense Master can also be used for dispensing dots of solder paste and SMD-adhesive on PCB’s. Using the unique CAD2DIMA CAD-conversion software, these applications are child’s play for the Dispense Master.

Applications can be found in Consumer Electronics, Automotive Electronics, Mobile Phones, Medical or Military Devices and many more. The most common applica-tions are dispensing solder pastes, SMT-adhesives, UV-cure adhesives, RTV seal-ants, epoxies, cyanoacrylates, anaerobics and conformal coatings.
